Does it work on 120 VAC? If so the cooling unit is good.
If the 120 VAC heater doesn't work, either it or its thermostat or circuit may have a fault.

Any ammonia smell? The refrigerant in RV non-compressor (absorption) fridges is ammonia, water & hydrogen, not "Freon" (R-12). If so, the cooling unit on the back is leaking.
The cooling unit cannot be repaired. The reason it is leaking, if it is, is that a pinhole has rusted in the steel tubing. The corrosion inhibitor may be visible where it's coming out.
Replacing the cooling unit is simple. Most of the job is getting the fridge out of the alcove and putting it back in.
New "reman" units are available for many obsolete RV fridges.
