I have a 1971 S/S 28' Cont. Rocket Deluxe, it came with a W/D hitch assy. w/sway controller. I am under the assumption that 19 1/2 " ball heigth is required. So does that mean with the trailer loaded, mounted, the equalizer bars secured and sway control attached I need 19 1/2" to the top of the ball or do I look for truck and trailer being level. I have all the paper work from the original buyer, but nothing on the hitch system. Help me please.

Thanks and God Bless America,
Brad Burns

Brad, The 19/1/2 is the ball height at normal load you would tow with and proper tire inflation. This is before any hook up. I other words, with just the vehicle resting prior to hitching. After hitching, your trailer should be level, or a slight drop on tow vehicle. You never want the tow vehicle raised.
