Anybody know a good vehicle for towing a 72 Silver Streak -- Sabre? My wife and I just picked it up (for a steal, I believe, at $1500) and it's in great condition. We'll be using it for local campgrounds primarily, but may do some 1000 mile range driving at some point. Thoughts? Anybody own one and can give me some insight on what to look for? Thanks!

Towing isn't a problem but stopping can be. The longer and heavier your tow vehicle is generally the sooner you will be able to stop.
Electric trailer brakes in good condition on your trailer, a good adjustable electric trailer brake on your tow vehicle are a must. First thing, repack the wheel bearings and replace the tires with trailer tires if they are older than 5 years or have any cracking in the tread or sidewall.
I would recommend a minimum three quarter ton pick-up or s.u.v. I prefer older Chevy Suburbans. If you ever have to stop in a hurry you will be glad for the heavier tow vehicle. Remember to size your hitch to your loaded trailer weight. Good equalizer hitches help prevent swaying when towing.

good luck !
