Hi

The screws that are on the interior paneling of my 1985 Silver Streak, weep condensation . This in turn has rusted the screws and minor discolored the paneling at screw holes. Has anyone dealth with this problem? ie: changed out screws or solved weeping problem..Thanks

Hi Jim,
I think the condensation a normal because the screws are attached to the metal frame and thereby the outside skin of your trailer. They are going to conduct that cold into your trailer where it's warmer and give you this problem.
Seems like it will be hard to stop it in the winter. You could wipe her down with some furniture oil or Pledge and it might at least slow down the process.

I have begun to change out some screws inside my 73 but just the ones that were added aftermarket and don't match. Im using new stainless screws where needed on the outside which should keep the rust in check

Has anyone tried nylon screws? They aren't as strong as steel ones but just to hold interior panels in place they might be worth a try.
