Does anyone know if the surface finish of 2024-T3 Alclad aluminum sheet is a good match for the original anodized SS finish? Thanks!

Unless it's anodized, Alclad won't match at all.

Thanks for the replies. We have 'workmanlike' repairs from a P.O., but they don't match and have acquired dents of their own...

A follow up to this old message for anyone looking to replace a skin or patch a panel. All that anyone need do to get a perfect match, other than natural aging and weathering, is to go to an aluminum shop and tell them that what size aluminum sheet you would liked anadized. Anodizing is a simple electro-magnetic process conduct by positively charging an acitone based chemical and dipping the sheet to protect it from breakdown. The process isn't expensive and should result in a perfect match for your trailer panels.
