Hi, I have already used it with the AC and it works fine. According to the folks at US Carburetion, the output drop in power is negligible. They guaranteed it work and run the AC and it does. For me, carrying around gas was a deal breaker. I hook the unit to one of my propane tanks and it's ready to go. Mark Stephenson
