Re: [A/S] inverters
I've had a 2kw Xantrex true sine wave inverter in my
trailer for about 2 1/2 years now and it does everything
from keeping the battery bank charged to powering the
microwave. It will actually power the air conditioner but
the batteries would be dead in about 30 minutes. If you're
going to have an inverter might as well have a real one.
If it's to expensive then get a generator instead.
A Melitta coffee maker (a plastic cone sort of thing) only
costs a few bucks. Heat water in a tea kettle and pore
it through the Melitta. Fresh hot coffee in about 5 minutes.
Camping World sells a rectangular metal toaster that sounds
a lot like the tin can thing others have described. It works
just fine.
