It is one of the inverter series that supplies 12 amps DC for battery 
charging.  I actually ran the generator for 45 minutes with the DC cables 
hooked up to a friend's battery for a slight boost before he hooked up his 2 
small solar panels and left for a few days.

The EF3000iSEBC has been renamed the EF30iSEBC to save on ink I guess.  It 
is the same generator as before.  As Linda mentioned, this is the boost 
model and they make a EF3000iSEC or now EF30iSEC model that does not have 
the boost.
