I've replaced the decals, numbers etc on my 'stream by using a hair dryer to
heat the decal and gently peeling it away as the glue softens underneath.
Unless it is really dried out, that should work. I then used some WD40 to
remove the glue and "ghost" that was left. I washed the WD40 off with some
gentle soapy water and then re-waxed the area. 
The only thing I can't get off my trailer is the WBCCI circle decal. I
finally gave up and just installed the new circle over the old.

3- I am "in process' of removing the wide blue decal that ran aroung 
the waist of my trailer. It is all weather checked and gross. I do 
not want to get into a 31' polishing scenario right now. Has anyone 
tried aircraft cleaner to remove the old and spotty clearcoat? If we 
can get that off--and all the old numbers and stickers-- I will just 
scrub real good and wax?? for now. And maybe forever...?
