[A/S] Shower stall repairs, '79 center bath

I have a 1979 31' International center bath.  The shower stall has a 
leak where the walls of the stall meet the molded once piece seat/pan.

For those familiar with this vintage, you know that there is some 
metal trim where the walls meet the molded pan.  I plan to remove the 
plastic inserts on the trim, drill out the rivits to remove the metal 
trim, caulk everything up with 3M 5200, and rivit it all back 
together.

As of now, I've been using bathtub caulk which never lasts more than 
a few miles on the road before cracking loose.  The only real leak 
seems to be in the rear outside corner, behind the sink, where the 
wall is boxed out over the heating duct.  Really not much trouble 
when taking a navy shower but I want it water tight.

Just wanted to know how long my new rivits need to be, so I can have 
some on hand which are the right size.  Any other tips from people 
who have been there and done this are welcome.  FYI, I have done 
extensive checking and this looks like the only source of a leak.  
All plumbing okay.
