Re: [A/S] Fuel consumption

We tow with a Dodge 2500 CTD with a 4speed Automatic. Pulling a Safari 25SS, we get
between 13 and 15 mpg. Terrain and speed have the biggest impact on the mileage. At
speeds around 68 to 70, we get 13. Slowing down to 64mph, gives the better result. This
is all in rolling hills. I'm sure we will do better on flat ground. I have also switched to a
Green Air Filter and improved economy.

Depending on how much dust is in the air, the factory air filter needed changed after
6,000 to 8,000 miles. The Green is similar. I can tell it is time when my towing mileage
drops significantly. BTW, the truck gets 22.5 mpg NOT towing...at 70mph. The air filter
can go much longer between changes (or cleaning in the case of the Green).
