[A/S] Propylene Glycol

Depending what else is in the RV antifreeze, it's safety might astound you. 
We keep a gallon of Propylene Glycol in the barn for hypocalcemia (also 
called milk fever) in goats after birthing.  It provides quick energy, 
stimulates the appetite and helps the doe get better quickly.

If giving Tums doesn't work (for the calcium content to renew calcium lost 
during the formation of babies - mom's body looks after babies first and she 
gets the leftovers and sometimes that just isn't enough) or you have a 
crisis situation, Propylene Glycol is the next step.    It is sold at most 
feed stores.
