[A/S] Re: too big for parks..?
I also have a 31' 1979 and tow it with an F250 diesel. Great
combination.
I agree that this is probably the minimum size trailer for us, for
livability inside. Dedicated bedroom and living room areas, etc.
We stay at a lot of Ohio State Parks and rarely have any trouble due
to trailer length. In fact, most places we've stayed could have
handled a 40' motorhome on the same sites. Any time it has been
tough getting in was when the parking strip was perpendicular to the
road and some trees were in the way, requiring more complicated
maneuvers to get backed in. Sure, some places have narrow roads but
that hasn't been a problem. Just watch your mirrors when rounding
curves.
Funny that the small gray water tank was mentioned. That is the only
thing I don't like about my trailer. For just a weekend with my
sweetie we can conserve enough water so that the gray tank is full
when we are ready to leave. If staying longer or having guests, and
no sewer hook-up, I just empty into one of those blue tanks on wheels
and tow that tank to the dump station.
