[A/S] Cross Country Travel

Hi List,
I am starting to work on my travel plans from Wilmington, NC, to Salem, OR,
to attend the International in June. I am trying to pick a route that I have
not traveled before. That leaves out all the East - West Interstates and US
- 412 and US - 2. I am looking at following US - 50 from Dodge City, KS, to
Carson City, NV. I will be pulling my 34' Limited, and just Mary and I
traveling alone. I would like to know if anyone has towed that stretch of
road, and how difficult it will be.
I would also like to find another rig or two to travel along that route (or
another good scenic route) with, if anyone is heading out that way in June.
I like to get on the road about 7:30 AM and travel until about 3:00 PM, with
a couple of breaks and lunch during the day. That looks like it will take
about or 12 days to make the trip, unless some fly fishing gets in the way
someplace along the way.
We will be taking off on the Maple Leaf Caravan after the International, if
there is someone else going on that caravan, we could start caravanning way
before the official beginning of the caravan.
