I believe the original poster was talking about a 250, not a 350.

The new Ford *350* has a maximum *conventional* tow rating of 15,000#, 
properly equipped.  However, that 15,000# (with a maximum 1,500# tongue 
weight) rating uses a hitch that has a 2-1/2" hitch receiver.  So far, I 
haven't found a trailer hitch that uses a 2-1/2" bar, only a 2" bar...and 
stepping down Ford's 2-1/2" hitch receiver to 2" reduces the tow rating to 
12,500#.

I didn't say that the original poster *couldn't* pull the 34' with a 250; I 
simply stated that he's probably going to be close to the GVWR and/or rear 
GAWR rating, particularly if he selects the 34' with the slide and loads it 
up to it's full 11,500# GVWR, and needs to be cognizant of his weight.  The 
weak point with the 250 is in the payload rating.
