No, I don't believe he's saying that at all.  I read that people are going to 
break in if they want so why have them damage the trailer while doing it.

The same principle as never locking a convertible car... if someone is going 
to break in they will, and you won't have a slashed top.

As for leaving the light on so some thief won't sue... I'm hoping the days of 
such stupid lawsuits are over.
