Jim,

If you go to the "Files" section of the list I just put up an Excel 
spreadsheet that will give you actual speeds at indicated and speed to 
indicate on your speedometer to get desired actual speed.  Without 
knowing the normal rpm it's hard to say what the new one will be, but 
mathematically its about 14% higher at the taller gear ratio.

As for towing in overdrive, I just kick the overdrive switch to lock 
it out when I'm pulling a hill and the truck (F-350 PSD) downshifts.  
When I crest the hill I let the overdrive engage.  The real killer is 
the constant shifting in and out of OD.  When towing I'll set the 
cruise to the posted speed limit move to the right lane and let the 
world just fly on by.

Of course in my part of the country that posted limit is 75 in some 
places, which can exceed the comfort level of some towing drivers, me 
included, so I do have a limit.
