[A/S] 2000 Bambi is home and some ?'s, Please

Have our (new to us) 2000 19' Bambi home with a few questions. My 
hubbie is still out of town and maybe some of you can advise me?

1) Does the one battery (located in the black box) need a lid on the 
box?

2) What size battery does it take? Is International a good brand?

3) Where is a good place to have some of the screens replaced?
I'm in the Bay Area (No. Ca.)

4) Should I let an Airstream dealer fix the door lock?  Someone broke 
into it with a screwdriver, although the lock still works, it looks 
like it was opened with a can-opener!
