Re: [A/S] 28' Safari vs. 30' Classic

We have owned both. Obviously you have discovered the
Classic is a heavier trailer. As far as I'm concerned
that's the major shortcoming of the Classic.

The pluses, the Classic is is the greater holding tank
capacities. We appreciate this greatly. Quieter
water pump, upgraded climate control thermostat, the
big front windows and the fact that the Classic
windows allow more ventilation. The couch is more
comfortable (seems to be a little bigger). Your
choice to turn on either the incandescents or
fluorescent lights. Aluminum steps. Improved window
shades and curtains. Gas/electric water heater.
Larger refrigerator. Air conditioner fan cycles on
and off. Nice glass shower door rather than it being
on a roll. Built in water filter in the kitchen
faucet.

But you know everyone has their own preferences and to
each his own. My Safari was my first Airstream and I
have no regrets. It was a fine trailer and we enjoyed
it greatly.
