[A/S] 28' Safari vs. 30' Classic

In trying to decide whether to purchase an RV, I've focused on the Airstream
28' Safari and the 30' Classic.  I would appreciate your thoughts about the
advantages and disadvantages of these two models.  Among the questions that
occurred to me are:

1.	How much of a disadvantage would the extra weight of the 30'Classic
be when driving through the Rocky Mountains?
2.	The 28' Safari is only available with a 6 cubic foot refrigerator,
but the 30' Classic comes with an 8 cubic foot refrigerator or an optional
10 cubic foot refrigerator.  Assuming that most of the time only two people
(my wife and I) would be using the Airstream and that we would be traveling
in it for up to two months, usually staying in privately-owned campgrounds,
how important would the larger refrigerator be?  Would the answer change if
we take one or two grandchildren?
3.	How important would the Classic's larger (54 gallon vs. 33 gallon)
water tank be?
4.	How important would the Classic's larger (39 gallon vs. 35 gallon)
black water tank be?  (I assume that we would use the Airstream's bathroom
rather than the campground's bathroom.)
5.	How worthwhile are the LS and Limited upgrades?
6.	Does anyone have an idea about the impact of higher fuel prices on
future Airstream designs?  For example, will the trend be toward lighter
weight models, such as the Safari, and away from heavier models, such as the
Classic?  

 

There probably are other considerations (besides price) that we should
consider.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.
