[A/S] International Heater

Fall chill is in the air so I moved the heater up on the list of systems to 
check.
I am thinking about buying a spare used heater for parts for our 
International heater in our '63 Overlander, We need the front cover panel 
with the vent slots and the exterior panel since our old one rusted into 
dust. Since we are not sure whether our current heater even works (just 
bought the A/S) I have 2 questions about it...

- Are these heaters worth rebuilding and using?
- Are new parts available ?
