Hunter's problem reminds me of a problem I had about two years ago.  We 
normally don't use the Airstream in the summer.  When I brought it out of storage 
in the fall, I checked the A/C and noticed a strange noise and vibration from 
the fan.  I immediately shut the A/C down.  When I pulled the cover on top of 
the Airstream, I found that dirt daubers had built nests in on the fan cage.  I 
removed the mud nests, cleaned the fan, and it ran fine.
