Another thing that will help vastly with vibration is to isolate the mount.
Vibration is a huge killer of headlights on the new super large cu.in.
V-Twin street bikes.  I owned a Bourget that with a simple twist of the
throttle would blow a headlight just climbing through first gear.

I finally, after about the 6th headlight bulb, had a look at the mount and
noticed that there wasn't any rubber isolator.  Go to Ace Hdwe and you can
get some nice 3/16" thick rubber sheet and make a custom fit isolator for
the LCD.
