[A/S] Thermostat buttons

I've talked to a couple of people who complained of the
buttons on the digital thermostats not working well.
I was plagued with this problem also.  The other day I
took mine off the wall, removed the RJ-11(telephone type)
connector from the back then removed the 4 screws that
hold the circuit board in place.  I then used a can of Radio
Shack contact cleaner on the push-button switches.  This
stuff is oily but seems to work OK.  Clean up the mess
with rubbing alcohol and reassemble.  It's been working
like new for three days now.  I'm guessing this will need to
be repeated about once a year.  As always YMMV.
