Check water in the batteries often.  Depending on what type of charger you 
have, you might want to shut the converter/charger off at night like some 
people have done.  I unplug the Magnetek at night in my '77 but my '86 has 
the Intellipower unit.  The Intellipower with Charge Wizzard has a 3 stage 
charger which keeps this problem to a minimum but some chargers have a 
tendency to boil the water out.
