I have the vinyl coated aluminum walls too, and have used 
Goof Off to get rid of caulk adhesives and even spray on 
insulation.  You might be able to use the citrus based 
stripper, but I'd test it somewhere invisible first. Thev 
vinyl is incredibly tough. If it is latex paint, you can 
sometimes soften it with ammonia. Windows open and fan !!!

Be aware that some areas may be painted plastic, not vinyl 
coated aluminum.  For those areas, you can't use much or you 
will remove the painted on texture and actually melt or 
soften the plastic.  The curved endcap in my back bedroom 
was so stained that I gave up and painted over it.
