[A/S] water softener in the black water tank

Hi,
I'll try again...  I remember reading something about putting a solution
of water softener in the travel trailer black water tank to keep the
solid waste and tp from sticking to, or plugging the valve opening and
the tank itself... and I was wanting to know how much was used in what
size trailer black water tank.  And at this point, did it work well?
