[A/S] First trip out
Greetings!
Well, Dave and I just got back from our first two-night camping trip!
We're in love!! Our little Bambi is super! But... of course, there
were a few snags along the way.... or should I say lessons. First on
the way out of Maine we stopped at L.L.Bean. While Dave went in to
pick up what we wanted, I went in the A/S to check things out.
Hmmmm.... white stuff on the stove. Oh... salt. It appears salt
shakers don't remain standing and subsequently 'shake' all the salt out.
Cleaned that up and found that salt and pepper ride quite nicely in
over-turned plastic 'glasses' on the shelf. Other discovery was that
'no spill' dog dishes don't really mean 'no spill'. My fault, I shouldn't
have filled it until we got to the camp ground.
We dry camped at Horseneck Beach in Westport, MA. I do have a question
about our refrigerator. I had it plugged in at home getting it cold.
When we got to the campground I turned it on using the gas. There was
a 'funny' smell. I didn't smell like gas.... more like freon/coolant?
It actually gave me a headache. So the first night we turned it off.
I didn't want to wake up dead <G>. Next morning I started it again.
Same smell but less. This continued during our whole time out.... but
each time the smell got less. I didn't notice the smell when I had it
plugged in at home. But then, I wasn't in the trailer for a length of
time. We were level at home and at the camp site. Any thoughts? was
it harmful?
We are making a list of things that need to be taken care of by a
dealer..... the list grows ;-( But fortunately... nothing major.
