Realizing its a different model range, however as a suggestion to try, on 
my '64 Ambassador, there is a "light" switch right by the door that is the 
shutoff for the water pump. I have also heard of some models that have an 
outside 115 AC outlet for a light when on AC hookup, might this be a switch 
for it if yours has the outlet?
