[A/S] excella history ??'s

We have recently purchased an 85 excella. We arent' old enough to 
be "vintage" (well maybe *we* are!--but the trailer isn't) and don't 
find much info on the 80's posted. 

We are unclear about the history of the excella. Can someone clarify 
the excella, ecella 500, excella 1000, limited and classic difference 
and apporximate years of production for us?
