Re: [A/S] Hi from Newbie in Canada

Hi Pam,

I've been watching Airstreams on eBay for the past 2 or 3 years from what I
have seen there, a 22+ foot 60's airstream with a 'rough' to 'nice' interior
goes for $1000 to $3000. Depending on how badly people want them at the
time. We paid $2000 for ours (not on eBay) and I feel it was a fair price.
Under 22 feet and a similar Airstream can go for up to $6000 or more. A
smaller Airstream definately has better resale value, but a larger one is
very roomy (actually the smaller Airstreams are really roomy too - Wally
Byam was a great designer!) We have plenty of room for a portable crib in
our 30 footer. Personal preference.

We have a '67 '30 Soveriegn Airstream that we've been fixing up. To give you
an idea here is some of the work we've done on it: We have spent just over
$1650 to put in tile, replace cushions, replace plumbing system with PVC
(including replacing faucets, water pump, and water heater), and replaced
the battery. We also need to purchase a rear access panel, a front window,
and an awning. And we are missing a few parts to interior lights and have a
few broken clips to replace.

Good luck, we had a great time working on our trailer, I hope you have the
same.

PS Check the floor for dry rot before you buy
