I tow a 32' Airstream. The GVWR is 8300 lbs. I have GoodYear Marathon tires 
size ST225/75R15 load range D. These tires are rated to carry a load of 2540 
lbs per tire at 65 psi. Multiply that by 4 and you get 10,160 lbs. Why would I 
need to inflate these tires to their maximum 65 psi since my TT's gross weight 
is 8300 lbs? I inflate my tires to 53 psi. They are now almost 5 years old. No 
blowouts, no flats and the tire treads are wearing evenly.
