If I can jump in here....on my 31' Sov (now sold), all I had to do was flip a switch to turn the inverter on, and we were off and running. When we were through with the large appliance, just flip the inverter off, and we were back on the coach battery. The inverter could also charge the coach battery, if needed. Bob Hightower WBCCI 11365
