Re: [A/S] Honda genset
Hunter,
I had it installed at last year's international by the guy who sets up a trailer
at the rally. (would have to look up his name, but many A/S's have been done by
him at previous rallies and he was highly recommended) It cost about $2000 and
that included all the equipment and installation. (two batteries, two panels,
inverter, etc.) He put the batteries and inverter under my couch in the front of
the trailer. He did a great job, you can't see anything like wires. When he was
done I was able to use the hairdryer and finally have a good hair day at the
rally!!!!
I've been ecstatic about the installation! On the road I now don't care where I
stop for a quick night. I've even stayed at truck stops and Walmarts since I can
use all my appliances. It doesn't require any setup at all. I just flick a
switch to use the solar power. I've never run it down, the two batteries last
forever. When I pull over for the night I just get out of the truck and into the
trailer and I'm all set. Especially nice in nasty weather. No setting up a
generator and worrying that someone will steal it!!
