Candy,

The first thing is, as you asked, to stop the crack. The best way to do 
that is to drill a hole (about 1/8" should be big enough) to relieve the 
stresses at the crack point.  Then you should be able to fill in the 
crack and hole with boat repair epoxy or similar filling.  If the crack 
is wider than a finger dab of filler will cover, you may have to get 
some glass tape and sort of "spackle" the gap.  Fixing the color is then 
all that is left, model paints and perhaps an air brush should take care 
of that. (I am assuming here that you have the cream/beige colored 
plastic interior end caps.)
