Gil,

I dont have the "official" instructions any more. They tell you exactly 
where to place them. But here is the basic procedure:

You start by LIGHTLY drawing a pencil line along where you want the 
bottom of the numbers to be. Then you spray a soap & water solution on 
the skin where the numbers will be.

Remove the backing from the numbers, taking care that they dont stick to 
themselves. Then lay them on the trailer. The water keeps them from 
sticking hard to the trailer.  Arrange them by sliding them around until 
they look good. be sure to back away from the trailer and view them from 
a distance.

Once they are where you want them, gently press down on the numbers to 
remove as much water as possible and let them rest till totally dry. 
They will then be permanently attacked.
