         The pumps won't be damaged, at least, mine hasn't so far.  I 
always bypass the water heater before sanitizing the tank, but don't see 
why it would be damaged by that weak chlorine bleach solution.  Everyone 
seems to recommend using the pumps, and campgrounds may not like dumping 
the solution on the ground (some of us don't store our AS at home).
