A few years back I bought nice looking inexpensive taps for our 
bathroom from a "big box store".
 Last year those taps caused a leak under the vanity which I was
lucky to find.  I went to a good hardware store and  bought two sets of 
Peerless taps for the bathroom and kitchen.   I wish I had done this 
before.  They are the washerless taps and require 1/4 turn to open.
Now that you are full timing unless you have modern taps  I would 
change them.
