[A/S] Airstream Floor

Hi,
I'm refurbishing my '73 31' Sovereign. It has had a few leaks at the RF and
LR corners and door that I've stopped with Vulkem. But parts of the floor
ply are 'thin to gone' in those places. 

I can cutout and replace the damaged sections of the floor with pieces of 1
1/8" ply which is a special order. I would like to use a marine grade ply.
Home Depot and Lowe's can order it, but they have to buy a whole pallet,
about 30 sheets, and I only need one sheet. I could forego marine grade and
sandwich a 1/2" and a 5/8" ply to make 1 1/8" patches to fit the cutouts and
paint it with an exterior paint. 

Anyone else had this experience?
