hello folks,
interesting discussion on the tow vehicles. i have been all Fords until
2001. i have had an and still have a 1989 f150 but when i bought a '99 i
found it was a light weight. i was hit by a hail storm in west texas when it
was less than 30 days old and it sustained $2700 in damage. we say it was
jinxed because we had several other situations with it. i do think ford has
moved to put the f150 back in the full size truck catagory and next time out
shopping i will consider it. the titan will also be looked at, as well as
chevy, gmc and dodge. when i got fed up with the '99 f150 i bought a tundra.
i added timbren springs to the front and rear and i am pleased with it so
far. however i feel that it too is a midsize pick-up truck. i have seen the
ads and the stats for the new toyota tacoma and they are closing in on the
tundra's stats. that indicates to me that toyota may have something big under
development. i have no schedule to buy now and i eagerly await the next few
years'
indroductions. good luck, jeff.
