That is not even a rational argument.  The workers who find jobs with Nissan 
easily offset those who lose jobs at American companies.  Some of the 
problems that American companies such as GM face in dealing with this 
competition arises because of the load they carry in employee benefits such 
as pensions.

GM has recently had it debt downgraded, practically to junk status.  Who 
knows if it will continue to survive in its current form.  Future retirees 
may find their retirement benefits nonexistant when they come to apply.

Meanwhile, companies such as Nissan, with younger workers do not have the 
same expense, or problems -- at least for now.
