Nissan USA is owned by Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.  which in turn is controlled by 
the Renault Group from France.  They own 44% of Nissan and have a frenchman 
as President and CEO of their Nissan subsidiary.  The company may have a 
Japanese name, but essentially they are controlled from Renault, France.
