Hi Hunter,

I agree with what you and alot are saying about taking the back seat 
out of the Surburban for hauling.  I was just thinking about those 
times (not many) when we visit certain family members and we are the 
hauler of people - but I guess we'll just have to make other 
arrangements for those times.  Not that big of a deal, but certainly 
a consideration, since like I said, with the $$$$$ we are going to 
spend for this new vehicle - I want to look at ALLLL angles and make 
sure.  I do agree with so many that the truck is probably the best 
way to go.  I have no problem with a truck and am impressed with the 
info on the Duramax Diesel.  Which brings up another question from 
something you said - LOL.

As you can see, if there is a question to ask, I'm certainly going to 
ask it - what better way to learn that to ask all of you on this 
site?  You mentioned about throwing this and that in the back of the 
truck and not in the trailer.  What exactly do you haul in the 
trailer?  May seem like a silly question, but to one that has never 
hauled one and does not want to end up like Lucy Arnez with her 
rocks - just kidding - other than your basic beddings, food, stuff in 
cabinets, etc., do you put other things (your clothes, etc.) in the 
trailer?  I know that they say usually to expect about adding about 
1,000 pounds to your dry weight - does that include the tanks (which 
I have also read to travel with them empty) or what?   I just want to 
make sure when we finally get to the adventure part, that we are 
doing it correctly and safely.  A lady I work with - she and her 
hubby just bought a truck and a 5th wheel and when I asked how much 
the truck could tow (GMC Sierra 1500 2 wheel drive) - they BOTH had 
no idea.  Now she is fitting the 5th wheel with her favorite cast 
iron pots, etc. and other things and I keep telling them they need to 
go to the local weigh station and check it out before they head out 
and she kind of laughs.  I DO NOT want to travel on guess work, so 
I'll be in all of your kind hands to guide me along.............
