[A/S] Trucks

Kevin -
Even tho I was, by the grace of God, born a Texan, my family & friends in
Houston always made fun of me and my truck. Those dim wits thought trucks
were either down market and/or not classy enough to be seen riding around
with me. My own mother, lovingly calling me a country bumpkin, thought they
might have switched the kids in the hospital. As a teen, that was fine with
me as not cruising the streets in my truck saved me the gas money.
Perceptions have changed over the years now. It seems most families in Texas
have at least one pickup for all the chores needing done.

The first wife (bless her little pea pinching heart) hated my trucks before
we got married. The way I got around that bias (ladies, stop reading here!)
was to use her sedan car a couple of times to bring all the spring bedding
mulch and annual flowers home from the plant shops. But my best devious
thought was to pull in the driveway with pressure treated 2 x 4's sticking
thru the back seat windows. We bought me a new truck that night.

The ladies are not the only ones to use deception to get the things they
want.
