When we attended the Swiss Festival Rally last year, we watched the parade
they have in town.

There must have been two dozen different "Queens" and "Princesses" in the
parade.

Each small town has it's own "<insert town or town's product here> Queen".

I was talking to some folks who said that these girls go to a parade or
festival almost every weekend.

That sort of thing is still very big in rural middle-America.
