RE: [A/S] Mapping tool?

It is amazing how long it took MS to realize this was a necessary feature
for people actually driving down the road while navigating with their
product. I think they never actually used it - just sold it. Back when
their product was otherwise competitive with Street Atlas, I tried it, but
couldn't do without that trail. Tried it again a couple years later - still
no trail. Glad they finally added it, but now Street Atlas also has Canada
and is otherwise so far out in front that MS will probably never catch up.

My current choice is the PLUS version of Street Atlas 2005. The difference
is that the PLUS version (which costs $40-50 extra) has a "yellow pages"
phone book locator built in. This means that you can look up businesses by
type (e.g., RV parks) and quickly populate the map with pointers to show
exactly where they are located. Need to find your truck dealership? An auto
parts store? A chinese restaurant? A Wal-Mart "campground"? Click-click.
