An excellent tool for doing just what you are suggesting is
DeLorme Street Atlas mapping software...

MS Streets and Trips is another however I have both and
prefer DeLorme Street Atlas by far. You can identify and
save all the address locations you wish to add and Street
Atlas will allow you to scale and print as well as quick lookups
on screen. It is inexpensive software and readily available most anywhere 
or you can go to www.delorme.com and see it for
yourself and purchase it direct

I have been using it for years and recommend it highly.
