Actually, Jim, in SC it is legal to put the old plate on the new trailer, as Hunter did, as long as it is still current. The plate goes with the owner to whichever vehicle he chooses, as long as you transfer the title thru the dept of vehicles. And you have 30 days to do so. So Hunter really was legal. Tricia & Conrad
