The calculations may not be exact but the theory is dead on.
In aircraft while flying we call it G-Force. The amount of pressure you 
feel during sharp maneuvers is measured by weight/speed. Same as if your 
driving and make a sudden turn. ie... 1 G = 1 times your weight, say you 
weigh 150, then the G-force of 1 would be 150, and it goes from there. Of 
course cars don't perform the same as high speed jet fighters so I would 
not expect you to pull 6 G's on I-75 or even 1 G for that matter.
 In fact the only tire I know of from my auto-cross racing days (in the 
80's) to stick well enough and allow a car to pull 1 G during turns was the 
Yokohama A-008. Now I don't have them on our Suburban or trailer nor will 
they ever be on it. But I do agree with Andy on what he's trying to get 
across, even though I'm still making a bike rack for the rear of my 
Airstream.
