[A/S] Continental spare tire

So with all of this discussion related to adding weight to the rear of
an Airstream, it made me wonder about the Continental spare tire setups
on the rear of some of the mid 50s Airstreams.  Was this setup notorious
for rear-end droop or had Wally compensated for that somehow?
